Can I use Touchcard to re-engage my existing customers or reward loyal / repeat customers?
Yep, definitely! But since we haven’t yet released the triggers necessary for you to set that up on your end, we do it for you as a one-off campaign on our end. Whether you want to do a one-off loyalty campaign or send everyone a holiday card at the end of the year, we can definitely help.
Please Note: Our one-off campaigns have a minimum order quantity of 500 postcards, as the process is manual and we take quite a bit of care to do it right.
All we basically need from you is a card design and a CSV export of your Shopify data. Read the section below for more details and best practices. When you’re ready, feel free to contact us and we’ll get the ball rolling.
The first thing we need from you is a postcard design. We can even help you with this; to get started, check out our articles on design best practices, Touchcard design specifications and templates, and free, online resources (like us!).
Next, we need a CSV file with the following information:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Address 1
- Address 2
- Province / State Code
- Country Code
- Zip / Postal Code
A standard export from your Shopify Admin panel should already have all of these. If you’re not sure how to export a list of customers from your Shopify store, you can find detailed step-by-step instructions on this page.
Targeting High-Value Customers
When creating the customer list to send to us, you can also target your customers based on a number of filters provided by Shopify. What filters to choose depends a lot on your shop, but a common rule of thumb for customer value is RFM:
Recency – How recently did the customer purchase?
Frequency – How often do they purchase?
Monetary Value – How much do they spend?
For example, an effective loyalty campaign we have sent in the past selected all customers who purchased in the last year and spent at least $100. To set these filters, you would create one filter for [placed an order] / [in the last year] and another filter for [money spent] / [greater than $100].
Our current campaigns send 1 card per customer to the shipping address they indicated in their profile on your store. But, for whatever reason, some people create duplicate profiles.
To avoid sending duplicate postcards, please check your CSV for duplicate entries. We’ve seen it save up to 10% of the cost of the campaign. If you need any help, please let us know and send us your CSV file with as many of these columns as you can: Email, Phone #, Date Created, Last Updated, etc.
